hello, i just wondering. i had two ssd drives when i click on my computer. after i did the RAID 1 set up, they both disappeared. i right clicked on my computer and i redid one under disk management, so one of them show now.

1. shouldn't two ssd show up when i click my computer?

2. shouldn't there be two ssd drives showing under my computer in case one get damaged,so i can go into the second one and use my backed up files?

3. how can i be certain that my RAID 1 set up was a success and my files are being mirrored on both ssd drives?

thank you in a advance

You should see two SSD drives as physically installed in Device Manager. You will only see one disk drive in My Computer since the other one is mirrored and is not really "in use" by the system till you swap it for the other one.

And do not mistake RAID 1 for a "backup", it's not. If you delete a file from one disk, it will delete it from the mirrored drive. What you have is disaster recovery in case of a drive failure. You still want to do backups of your files.

Not sure what you did exactly with disk management, did you follow instructions on how to setup a RAID 1 system?

If you go to the RAID config screen, you should see both drives and the status there.
