Hello. I'm using Windows 8.1 Pro as my os. I've recently overclocked my core; G3258 from 3.2GHz to 4.0Ghz just fine. Did tests and everything went smoothly. However, I noticed when my core is under heavy load (ex. Booting up), the speed of the core is 4.92GHz according to task manager. I do however installed Core Temp which shows me normal speeds. Is this a Windows 8.1 bug? I've attached pictures of it. Thanks.

Can't see the picture. But it's a bug. You core voltage won't support that high a speed. Task Manager is not especially reliable. Use something more intended for the purpose. I spent the summer overclocking a couple of G3258s and never saw anything close to that. I got one to 4.2Ghz ,and the other to 4.5Ghz.
