So I have had this dell inspiron i3847-5386BK http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-i3847-5386BK-Desktop-Processor/dp/B00K0HMSTY
for a while, and I upgraded it with a gtx 750ti because thats all the power supply could handle. But now i want a graphics card with more power, so I need a better power supply. Any Suggestions? Will a PS with too much watts damage my computer? can i replace the PS in a store-bought desktop like this? how easy is it to replace a power supply, and what problems might I have?
I dont want to spend over 50, and 30-40 is ideal. Thanks!:bounce:

with power supply they only give what the system needs. the rated output is the max load the rails can take.
with power supply the biggest issue is the size of the old unit and new unit. some of the newer units use larger 140-150mm fans. you have to check with power supply off it with and height and to see the new unit is close to the old unit in size. if it to wide it may hit some other part in the case. with power supply all you do in unplug the cables and then with the case laying flat so the power supply cant fall and hit the mb. take out the four screws holding it and slide it out.
