So I built my PC about a month ago for the first time and everything was working perfectly fine until a few days ago. When I turned it on that day, it was a lot slower than usual, and on certain websites, images would either not show up or show different colored pixels and sometimes only show the coding instead of normally. Then the day after that is when I got the Blue Screen of Death. My computer all of a sudden was being really slow to the point where it froze and then the Blue Screen appeared. The text on the Blue Screen was not readable so I just restarted the computer, but it only showed a black screen, so I decided to delete all the data in my hard drive and reinstall Windows 8.1. But unfortunately, the Windows 8.1 setup isn't able to finish. So I am stuck as to what to do next. What exactly is the problem? And would getting a new motherboard solve this? Thanks in advance.

If its new then use the warranty. If you could give the BSOD code we might be able to figure out whether is a GPU problem or whatnot but best use warranty. If you are using an old HDD (from an old setup like most people are) it might be a case of the HDD simply dying (that would explain the computer going slower and slower). If you have another hdd close by try swapping them and checking if the problem still occurs.

For some reason my blue screen showed only the sad face while the words were blurred out, and I just bought a new hard drive so yea. Im also using an amd processor so no gpu. What warranty are you referring to?
