The problem used to be somewhat sporadic. I'm hoping I will be able to finish this post on my computer before it crashes again so I don't have to post from my phone. Fingers crossed. Anyway, It used to happen maybe every couple of hours but recently it has been every 3-4 minutes. I could be doing anything on my computer: gaming, browsing the web, or just leaving my computer with no programs running and it will freeze. The fans are still going and all the lights on the computer are on but I can't move the mouse, or operate caps lock not to mention the entire keyboard. The only thing I can think of is that it's either overheating or the motherboard my friend traded me is toast.

Edit: Oh also, sometimes when it freezes (I think it might be when I'm gaming) it will make a glitch sound like "Ch!"

Sorry for the shitty phonetic. Didn't really know how to describe it otherwise.

OK you should avoid second hand hardware, The ch sound could be a couple of things
#1 Motherboard is toast, resistors or any chips on your motherboard may have blown or burnt out meaning the freezes that is why the longer you play on a pc with a burnt or blown chip, the more damage it sustains.
#2psu may be packing up. The psu may have a blown capasitor and the ch sound you hear is the sudden release of electricity, maby a spark. Try another psu and see if the problem presists. Try these things and let me know what your findings are :)
