I installed a new Evga GTX 750 TI SC 2Gb on my old motherboard XFX 650i Ultra with Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 4 GB Ram FSP 800 MHz

For the first use, it seems to work well, but when I play a high game or load many graphics the whole system crash, the monitor lost signal via HDMI and must restart my machine.

I checked my motherboard and found PCIe Bus, MHz [100] and my card details is 1176 MHz Base Clock 1255 MHz Boost Clock.

My question, is the problem here that the card bus speed higher than the PCIe bus speed?

If so, is this safe to increase the PCIe bus and what is the optimal number should I put?

Thanks

those things have nothing to do with each other.

you need to be looking at your power supply, and your temps if you are having crashes while under load

could also be out of date drivers, or too old motherboard bios

running memtest86 is also a good idea

Thanks for reply maxalge

My power supply is 500W and the card needs minimum 300W and for temps for both of CPU and VGA not more than 50 c during play a high game.

But my eyes goes to the drivers as I use Windows 10 Pro on this old motherboard that it have the latest bios update available.

So I'll install Windows 7 X64 with the latest drivers update available for motherboard and gtx 750 ti sc and see what next.

Thanks

I already installed Windows 7 with latest hardware drivers and seems every thing is going fine, I'm using the PC for two days now and no crash :D.

But I face now a randomly hang during any gameplay, the game is getting slightly slow with sound hang and get back to work well.

Is there any explain for this, may increasing my RAM to 8 Gb will help or new CPU cooler.

Thanks
