Whenever I attempt to play a newer video game, in this case Dragon Age: Inquisition, Dying Light, Fallout 4, Witcher 3 I keep getting sudden framerate drops that freeze the game for a good few minutes, in some extreme cases for even longer.
Usually I solved this problem by lowering the graphics setting in games, but since playing Lords of the Fallen and Fallout 4 I can no longer do this and the problem persists. The thing is, framerate is going smoothly until the point where the game has to load the horizon or a new area, or when I look at an area with complex shadows in-game, and then it drops to irritating, unplayable levels.
What exactly is the problem? My specs are quite outdated yeah but the smooth framerate sections make me think something else might be the issue. Is it VRAM, RAM, faulty HDD, combination of weak compenents or something other?
