Greetings, I'm about to purchase my first build, and I need some feedback:

Intel Core i5-4690K
ASUS B85-PRO GAMER
Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit (2x8GB)
Evga GTX 970 FTW+
Corsair RM650
Cooler Master V8 GTS
Cooler Master HAF+X Case
WD Black 1TB (x2)

No ssd, I need that extra TB and I'm almost over budget

It's gonna be mainly for games, I know that the B85 chipset it's maybe too old, but as far as I know this mobo will let me overclock the cpu

My question are: any incompatibility issues between this parts? Any part that is better for +/- the same price?

Thank you in advance and sorry for my "Spanish"

The core i5 4690, 4690S and 4690k are almost at the same price, It will make any difference? and let's say that I change the mobo for a MSI H97 GAMING 3, I have to change any other part?

What specific features are you looking for in a MB if you cannot overclock. There are tons of z97 boards to choose from. What is available for you?

If the k version is the same price get it. But you are really crippling your build if you don't get a z97 board.

Goddammit I hate living in Mexico, almost every F***** single z97 are out of stock or overpriced by external vendors

I only want to overclock when the pc starts getting old, not right now. I don't want the mobo bottle neck mi rig, maybe with an optical audio output :S

I did check that one, maybe with this sound card?

I have a home theater with an optical input

What is the main difference between the b85 and z97 letting aside the oc? I will have to change any other part?

I don't know that MB. Newegg is a good site to look up specs, they are usually fairly accurate. But no you will not need to change any parts.

Also I want to mention the Corsair RM PSUs are not the worst but not that great either. Check the PSU teir list in the components forum and see if you can get a teir 1 or 2 for an equivalent price. You can plug your specs into this calculator to find your wattage needs. Going over my a couple hundred is not a bad idea but I am sure cost is a concern as well.

Thank you, how about this one? http://www.amazon.com.mx/EVGA-SuperNOVA-ATX12V-Fuente-Poder/dp/B00IKDETOW/ref=sr_1_cc_7?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1447945682&sr=1-7-catcorr&keywords=evga+psu

I think that the G2 is a tier 2

Good choice. The G2 is recommended on this site frequently. But as not you just stated do consider a lower wattage if you are sure you will never sli in the future or switch to an AMD GPU. But if the price difference is small then having the extra overhead will not harm and beats having to replace the PSU and a card if you uprade down the road.

Thank you very much for your help guys, I think that I'll wait until the ASUS Z97-PRO GAMER is in stock again to make my purchase, and I will buy the G2 psu

Thanks again!
