Hello everyone !!!

I recently bought a new pair of ram kingston hyperx 2x8 1866Mhz to replace my old 2x2 1600Mhz (kingston hyperx as well).I have a gigabyte ga-p67a-d3-b3 motherboard.I installed the new ram, i opened the pc and it shuts down after 2 seconds. Then , it is continue to turn on also for 2 seconds and then off by itself .It keeps going like this until i turn off the psu.I tried to remove the cmos battery for half a minute and put it back but it didnt work.I sent the ram back to the store to check if it was faulty but they sent me back and said to me that its ok.So, i put again my old ram to get here and ask for help.

Thanks !!!

I thought the same as breakingfelony. Ram may not be slotted in properly or you haven't put them in the right lanes. The first time I built a computer it would turn on then off and the ram just needed a wiggle and I heard another click and the pc ran.

Usually on motherboards now the slots are different colours to show with are the first dual set of slots.
Like my motherboard has 4 slots, so they would be white blue white blue so I would stick my 2x4GB into the white ones.

This kit is compatible with p67 motherboards and also the motherboard can take maximun 2133Mhz and i think i put it properly because when i put my old kit back it works normal.
