It is not normal to overclock a non-K series Intel processor - they are not designed to be overclocked. That said, check your motherboard you may have facility for some limited, possibly BCLK overclocking, but this is unlikely to yield a lot of gain. And be careful with your temperatures......

upgrading will be a worthy decision if you are into gaming! overclocking wont bring any better results. however for any other activity your pc can suffice. ram can also be a worthy upgrade with your current system. 4gb is ok
