I just want to make sure that I will be able to take my secondary hdd at of my current PC and put it in my new PC and still have all my data on it. I'm not going to have to format the drive or anything am I it will just keep working the same way it did when it was in my old PC? Also my os will be installed on a separate ssd. And I'm also getting another 2tb hdd.

If you've got an executable that just runs (did not require an install), then those will work as well. The issue here is that programs that require an installation will write entries into the registry. When you move those programs to a new Windows installation, those required registry entries no longer exist and the programs need to be re-installed.

The hdd does have programs but they are like stand alone ones (as in you download a .exe and when you run it, that's the program) I don't have any programs that like get installed to c drive or anything. Would I still be fine to move it or no?
