GTX 770,GTX 960 or R9 280X?

Looking for a new GPU to replace my AMD XFX 7850 2GB core edition. Can get either locally for a good price. So which would be better, the 770, the R9 280X or the 960? Note: all are 2GB, bar R9. Which is best for DX11 performance? Presumable the R9. The R9 may not be possible however, so could you put them in best to worst? Thanks!

r9 280x and GTX 770 are very close in performance, the 960 slightly less.

Thanks for the answer! What about wattage? What sort of minimum wattage should I am for with each card (PSU)? Also it'll be used on 2x 1080p monitors if that's relevant.

550w minimum for any of the cards they all have similar power draw. Personally id take the 280X out of those 3 especially if ypure running 2 monitors youre gonna want more VRAM than 2gb. Tbh if absolutely possible try and fork out the extra for a 380 or 970 you wont regret!

Considering price of PSUs id get a decent bronze rated (min) 650w as its only a few quid more than a 550w. Seasonic or EVGA make really good PSUs- heres a comprehensive tier list for your perusal
