First off my PC Specs!
Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-4590 CPU @3.30 GHz
Ram: 8.00 GB
Current GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD6670 1GB DDR5 (Low Profile)
PSU: Evga 300 watt PSU
Motherboard: MSI Military Class B85M-P33 http://www.amazon.com/MSI-Computer-Motherboard-Motherboards-B85M-P33/dp/B00D12OAOG

I can play Tomb Raider at only 17 to 29 fps on all low settings 1080p, however on 720p i can play on medium settings with about 49 fps. I'm guessing that either this gpu is not capable of 1080p gameplay or it's just a crap card. Or maybe i'm wrong and it's not my graphics card at all? i was looking at the geforce gtx 750 ti, however i'm not sure if that would be a noticeable upgrade. Also if someone would let me know if my computer is low, med, or high end range I would appreciate it :).

I'd say you have a pretty good computer on your hands. The i5 is a great CPU, you have 8 gigs of ram, and plenty of Power supply to upgrade with. I would update the GPU to a GTX 950 which would allow you to play games 1080p games @ high to ultra settings @ 60fps. Its only 159.95 on amazon and would work with your existing hardware.

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Cooling-Graphics-02G-P4-2957-KR/dp/B013WQCC5O/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1447969106&sr=8-3&keywords=evga+950&pebp=1447969122444&perid=007GRRACSEVEQNSWFD6D

Hope this helps :)

**Update

I'm not sure what your budget is, but the 750ti would be a upgrade to what you currently have OP.

And a $100 bucks. You really can't go wrong. The 750 ti is not as powerful as the 950, but your talking a 3-7fps difference in games.

You have a good CPU which your GPU is bottlenecking. 300w is a bit low if you want a better card but is fine if it's a good brand/model(do you have that info?). If you were going to get the GTX750, I recommend the GTX950. It isn't too much more and would be a large improvement over your 6670.

Update: This is a MSI GTX950 2GB(160$/130$ with a 30$ rebate.)
Update2: If you go with the EVGA one he posted I would get the smaller 144$ version.
Update3: What case do you have? What length GPU will it support up to?

That looks like a shoddy psu, I would get something like the EVGA 430w(25$ after rebate from NCIXUS).

You might need to measure how much room there is for a GPU in your case as I can't find any info. The manufactures site just says "No" for max GPU lenght. Other than that the two cards I posted are great 130$ MSI or the 144$ EVGA(if the MSI won't fit)

If you need a small card like the EVGA 950 SC one but don't have 144$ the EVGA GTX750(110$) posted by Finkledbody is good too.

Great choice, I use that PSU for low wattage builds and it's a solid PSU. That's also a good mid-range GPU that will be much better than your current one.

Hello

I'd recommend going for a GTX 960, it will be the best performing card you can purchase for your power supply, will work well with your CPU and it is a fair sight faster than the GTX 950 and a massive upgrade over what you have. In saying that, it wouldn't hurt to upgrade the PSU you have to a better quality one, however, if your looking to keep the one you have, this would be your best choice.

Here is a FPS chart for Tomb Raider, the 7770 which is similar to your card gets about 29 FPS and the GTX 960 gets around 83 FPS.

Here is a comparison between the 6770 & the GTX 960

With that setup you should be good for high settings without tressfx at 1080p.Hope you are running it on the latest drivers.Use MSI afterburner during gaming to see if your GPU is throttling down to lower frequencies.

I guess you have bought the gtx 950 and if so AMD catalyst is the wrong driver you are using it with.
Download the latest driver for your gtx 950 from here:Geforce gtx 950.Note that this is the windows 10 64-bit driver. Also install Geforce Experience from here:Geforce Experience which will update the drivers by itself, let you record games and broadcast them and will also suggest the best in-game settings for your system.
Install it and geforce experience will update itself to the latest version in the future.

1)Use this utility:AMD Clean Uninstall Ultility to uninstall your current driver.
2)Then restart your system.
3)Then Install the Catalyst Software Suite 15.7.1 and NOT the Radeon Software Crimson Edition as its not supported for your GPU from here:AMD Catalyst Driver
4)Then report back!
