2x XFX r9 290 vs 980ti for 4k gaming?

if you need the extra VRAM i would go for the 2 cards. I'm personally wanting a 390 for myself and it performs really well at 4k even with a single card (from benchmarks) its slightly better than a 970 , so its a bit like two 970s in SLI which should outperform the 980ti and 980 in most circumstances.

There is always cons for having two cards though:
- More heat in the system ( can affect performance and lifetime of card )
- Greater power usage , two cards use quite a lot of power , plus amd has slightly less power efficient cards.
- a lot of games don't support SLI or Crossfire. i remember the days when watch dogs was released , so if u had a sli setup it would default to use one card.
- Nvidia has slightly better updates , features...

GO 980Ti , you will be doing yourself good if you don't like the cons in going 2 card setups with amd
