well this was my first PC build, it was pretty easy, I would recommend that you build it youself. As for that PC with an i3, I would say its not worth it.

what do you want to do with it? for general use, that's fine. i really hate how people always insist on building it yourself, it's like, if the original poster wants pre built then he wants pre built, simple as that...

EDIT: 594.63 USD is total with PC price not GPU and RAM only

it's your call, as i said above, for general use that's fine. as for the upgrade, for general use i don't think you'll notice a difference with the upgrade.

The question should be is it worth it to you and can you afford to pay the price? Value is completely different. Something is worth exactly what someone will pay for it at the time of purchase only. 10 minutes ago or a month from now is different. Another person may not agree what you paid or didn't pay. So what.

also, i hope that's not a chromebox, there's no way you can game with it, as far as i am aware. and it's probably not easy if you can do it. i bought a chromebox that's why for general use and it seems similar to the specs you posted.
