They'll work, but if you want, you could drop down to a Xeon 1231v3 (a 4790k without built in graphics) and a B85 motherboard and possibly find a cheap 980.-Not my call though

Id take an R9 390 over a 970 though. They do better past 1080p for cheaper.

And, personal preference, but Id swap that SeaGate for an HGST (Hitachi) drive. Theyre cheaper and more reliable.
