Skyrim/Fallout 4 on 144Hz monitor! - Please help!

So I know for sure that Skyrim doesn't work well with over 60 FPS and Fallout has the same physics engine. So I assume they both do not work over 60 FPS.

Here is my question: Is there any possible way to automatically set or lock Skrim/Fallout 4 to 60 fps? I would love to not have to go to the Nvidia control panel to change my monitor's Hz every time.

Solution
I also have a 144hz g-sync monitor and FO4 was definitely acting weird running at those high FPS.
But I disabled v-sync and used rivatuner to cap my FPS at 85.

You can enable V-sync in the control panel for fallout 4. It is something I don't like about the game but it seems it is the only way. Skyrim, on the other hand, has a way to lock it on, but it is semi complex. Here's the link. http://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/828927580803674519/
Sorry that there is no option for these, but I hope I helped somewhat. Happy gaming :D

V-Sync locks to monitor refresh rate. For me that is 144 FPS, however I would like to keep it at 60 FPS without changing the Hz in the Nvidia control panel every time I open and close the game.

you can set it to adaptive vsync half rate in the drivers and it will lock at 72 fps, I have not had any issues at this frame rate.

edit: the devs really should add an option to set the refresh rate in the game.
