Hi,
I bought a new computer.
Everything went fine, my computer is booting all good. Butwhen I connect the GPU, the computer is not booting anymore, black screen.
It is a GTX 970 Strix, My motherboard is Z170-K, and my power is 600W with 46A on the 12V.
The 8 pin power is connected and the light is on on the GPU, so I don't know.
Maybe I need to set up some thing in the Bios before putting the GPU ?

Solution

did you set the monitor to the proper display cable you are using ?

go into the bios and disable the built in, make primary display to PEG or PCIE

also you might need to update the motherboard bios to newest available at the manufacturer's website

is you monitor hooked up to the video card and not the motherboard?

Thank you for your answer,
Yes, the monitor is searching for the right cable, stops a bit on the right one but then turns off and say no signal.
I am at work right now, but this evening, I will try what you said.
I will disconnect the GPU, do what you are saying about the bios and then connect the GPU again.
