Im trying to build a custom workstation. ..but im not sure of which motherboards i should use. :(
I know i want to be 2018 proof tho :p
So ...ohh! and i have a Quadro M6000 (someone gave me one as a gift in school...in a competition).
I use sketchup pro 2016... (files usually bigger than 300 mb and revit 2015 (files usually bigger than 500mb and also autodesk showcase) so which motherboard..and processor is best for me...should i get a dual socket one...i also do renderings... in 4k? And if possible could someone make a pcpartpicker list for me?

Solution
Well I'd be happy to, but my pcpartpicker is being a little bit of a daisy right now. Won't work so I'll do with what I can.
I'd suggest a single CPU but if you want a dual CPU will work too, if you want it to be 2018 proof, 1 CPU will still work:

8core:

10core:

Suggested Motherboard:
10GB ethernet with 1GB ethernet:

But most likely you won't use 10GB ethernet so I'd say...

this seems like the best build to me right now in march 2016 it should be very forward compatible as it will have all the features you want going forward . a great thing is that the best cpu's today will be way cheaper in 2 years and you can plop them right in for even more core if needed in your workflow in the future. and the cost is under 4k.

Solved, that's all, end of discussion? A week before the release of V4 for workstations?
