We are a printer manufacturer that have used the Epson DX5 head for years in our equipment. We've since moved on to a new printer that we are using a Ricoh Gen5 printhead. I've been trying to understand the differences between the two heads because we still offer our first product with the DX5 head. Unfortunately, there are specs that I have searched for high and low and cannot find anything.

The Ricoh Gen5 head is rated for 100 Billion actuations per nozzle in a channel. This equates to hundreds of thousands of prints. The DX5 head, the only thing I can find is in relation to an EPSON 4800 which states the life cycle of the printer is 20,000 A2 size prints but it's not stating it's from the head but from the maintenance tank.

Does anyone have knowledge of more detailed specs of the DX5 print head and it's capabilities?

I've seen other specs but never this kind of information and why I was asking. This is information that most likely engineers from Epson would know and a select few. Thanks for responding.
