my power supply delivers less watts than my gpu requires

my power supply delivers 430 watts but my gpu says is requires 500 watts. but my rig is still running fine.

does this hurt my gpu?

some psus are rated at max watts ,some give a overhead, meaning some brands rate on the sticker wattage of it's max, some better brands label a psu as say 550w when it's max is closer to 650w or so giving some headroom for stability reasons.
Yours might max out higher than it's rating and thus has worked fine. thing may get pretty warm though and working 100% will shorten it's lifespan. gpu will be fine only affect would be instability if it was not able to suck enough power. they also rate the gpu watts requirement a little higher for headroom/stability
