Hi, my son wants/needs a computer to do general stuff, but also play world of tanks in high detail but not the latest games or gaming as he has a console for that. Obviously I want to spend as little as necessary within reason. I have my old sapphire hd7850 2g gpu already ,just need help choosing a cpu and motherboard please. will amd athlon x4 860k quad core be any good? do i need a better one or will a cheaper one do the job? plenty of room so prefer atx options please

The Athlon X4/7850 is probably overkill if anything. Just look for a motherboard that has initial BIOS support for the Athlon, a few need upgrades before that.
