So, I have recently embarked on a desk mod. I'm an expirenced wood worker. And I always loved the red harbringer cross desks (http://www.redharbinger.com/newsite/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/A-look-inside-2.jpg) But I didn't have 1600 dollars to blow on a desk. Or I did but I didn't find it worth it. So the desk is almost finished. I just have detailed work to finish. But I cannot really continue that until I have all of the parts I need.

What I need:
Female USB's Pref 2 3.0 and 2 2.0. (I need to clarify I don't want a USB hub. I want a USB's that will go to my motherboard. Much like the USB's on the front of your Computer case do. I'll also need a fair ammount of wire. Atleast.. 90 inches to be safe.)

Female headphone and microphone ports. (The same deal as above, I'll need wiring with 90 inches.)

I will need wiring for a Fan controller and a CD tray, atleast 90 inches aswell.

I'm am Expierenced enough for computer to do the build, But I have never done circuit constructing or wiring, of any sort. If that's what it takes I'm sure there are tutorials out there I can learn. But I thank you so much ahead of time. I've been looking on frozen CPU/newegg/NMPC Tech trying to find what I need. Without much luck. Frankly because everytime I search for USB Female ports. I get alot of USB Hubs. I've thought about buying a hub and taking it apart to use that. But I'm afraid I would have to re wire it for a motherboard. Which I don't know how to do.

Here's some pictures for fun! I plan to do a build log soon.

I hope I posted this in the right area.

In the final image the red show's how I will be wiring the USB's/Pwr button/CD tray/ and fan controller.

There will be an aluminum sheet above the wood on a 1/2 inch stand off, Allowing me to run the cables under that and into the back and over to the MOBO.

Thank you, I'll have to do some measuring and see. I'd really prefer them to be without the plastic mounting hardware, because the front panel is 3/4" and I need it to sit flush.

I'm back! I'd like to say thank you to everyone who helped. I figured everything out. However now I have an issue with mounting the power supply. Been trying to find some sort of mounting kit for a power supply. Just something that will hold it in place. Most cases seem to have that built in. I can use the one in my current build. But I would prefer to keep the tower standard for the future.

Anyone have any idea where I can find a PSU Mounting kit? Or bracket?

I really can't find a prefab plate for your mod. ATX power supplies always have the same width and height, they just vary in length. There should be no problem just cutting a hole in the back of the desk and fixing the power supply so that it's connector is accessible from the back. Other wise you can mount it side ways and just run the cord out the back. This will probably make cable mangment a bit easier.

the only other thing I can think of is salvaging the back end of a old computer case. At the very least you can use it as a template to manufacture you own plate.
