I recently installed an r9 fury ASUS STRIX and at first i didn't have any problems, but after a week or so, i started getting black screen followed by "AMD display driver stopped responding and has recovered". The error started to appear more often and after it had recovered, the screen would go black and the sound would start looping, but my pc kept running. I could still talk to people on teamspeak, but the screen remained black and the game sound still in loop (the error would also happen when i was just browsing).
Today when i booted my pc, i would get "no signal" from my monitor. I tried changing from DVI to HDMI, but same thing. At one point i got to windows loading screen, but afterwards "no signal".

I have tried the following:

- Reinstalling drivers
- Older driver versions (betas too)
- Tested RAM
- Used default settings in BIOS
- Used different monitor
- Reinstalled windows

I've been monitoring my temperatures on both CPU and GPU and everything looked normal.

The card is now removed and im using the onboard GPU and everything works flawlessly.

Specs:
Intel Core i7-3770K
ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77
Kingston DDR3 HyperX 1600 MHz 16GB
Corsair AX860 PSU
Intel 520 Series 240GB
BenQ XL2411Z
Windows 7 64-bit

What to do?

Solution
It looks like there have been a couple of system stability updates since then, so would give the latest update a try (seeing as this continues to happen on a clean and updated install of Windows):

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_Z77/HelpDesk_Download/

Be sure to use the USB flash method:

Yeah i know ur pain bro, happens to me randomly cause Intel CPU and AMD GPU is like =Try me.... Try downloading AMD Catalyst 15.7.1 Im using it cause i dont wanna to "Play it with" new drivers and this one is like rarely happening except few anomaly's while watching video on youtube but rest its like a miracle.

PS:It's mentioned that " A blue screen error may be observed with some intel+amd configurations on drivers installation. As a workaround, please update your drivers using windows update.

I honestly didn't think updating the bios would help, but so far i have booted into windows and tried some CS:GO without problems. It may have been the solution. Thanks :)

So it seems my problem is back. I still get the "AMD display driver stopped responding and has recovered" error, but atleast my screen only goes black for a couple of seconds.
