How to turn off USB ports after shutting down the computer

Hi. How do i turn off USB ports after shutting down my computer?

Motherboard: MSI Z97A GAMING 7

The motherboard has three onboard buttons to: power on/off, restart and OC. those buttons are also turned on even if the computer isn't.

Please help

If you are running win 8, 8.1, or 10 then you probably aren't shut off. You need to hold down the shift key while you click shutdown to get a true poweroff otherwise the system will enter a hybrid low power state much like hybernation. They do this to facilitate a quicker startup.

Thanks, I have just gone from Win 7 to Win 10 and found that my USB ports are now live after shutdown., quite annoying in this case as the PC is silent so I connected a usb plasma ball so I knew when I had left it on.
No changes had been made to bios or anything else, just the upgrade.
This has helped me as it works - if I remember to use the shift key !
If anyone finds a way to do this in windows 10 settings somewhere please let me know.
