need help in network problem

Hey guys , i have a problem playing my everyday games cause i keep getting super high ping , and when i contacted my isp they came over and checked the internet speed from my building network box down:16mbps/up:1mbps but i am getting lower than i should which is down:8/up:0.80
and now i am questioning the old network cabling in the building to my house , also i noticed when i use my house's phone my route rests for no reason

are you on wifi or hardline? If you are on wifi, change your wireless channel. Download an wifi analyzer app to your phone for free and you can see which channels are the less used around you. Usually channel 11 is a good one and 6 being the most congested because it's the default channel usually.

see this it will detect wireless and tell you witch one could interfer with you ,i made mine to go channel 9 and no more bug from wireless network aroun my place .

i use Ethernet cable but thats not the problem

then i would check wiring in home could bad connection for the isp modem to your router .

Pull the plate off the jack. Check to see if a single ethernet was used to wire both you phone line and you ethernet. Sound like you could have an exposed wire
