Will Intel H81 chipset motherboard need update for cpu?

I'm pretty sure it would work, you may have to flash the bios. Msi's site isn't very helpful and the cpu compatibility list only shows i3's for some reason. The bios revisions are vague at best.

For about $20 more you can get a decent matx h97 board like the asrock h97m pro4. It has usb 2.0 and 3.0 and still has internal headers for usb 2.0 so you can use your case's front usb connectors. Even though your case doesn't have usb 3.0 you can still use the usb 3.0 ports provided by the motherboard at the rear panel.
