Can I connect a USB optical drive to the USB port of the RT-68 router and watch a movie disk in that drive on any wirelessly-connected laptop? Would be very handy now that the laptops don't have internal drives and not everything is available via streaming.

In theory it should work, but it will probably be identified as a network share and not an optical drive. This may cause issues with DVD Players (software) as it may not properly decrypt the copy protection that is on the disc. Honestly i have never shared a optical drive to definitively say this will work or not.
