Hello,
I've got my first budget build but unfortunately the PSU I originally bought, although showing no problems so far, does not look like the kind of thing I would want running in my PC after looking over the forum. So, I am looking at spending either NZ $87 for an Antec VP500P V2 500w power supply, or NZ $160 for a coolermaster V550 power supply. Now obviously the coolermaster is going to have benefits being that more expensive, but I wanted to know if you people would consider the Antec model something reliable and safe to put in a PC. Also please note I live in New Zealand so wall power is about ~230VAC. Or would you recommend the much more expensive cooler master one. Link to the antec is here: https://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/Antec-VP500P-500w-Power-Supply/23037061

Solution
Antec is fair quality , while the Cooler Master is excellent quality.

Don't skimp on the PSU get the Cooler Master.

WHAT WE LIKED:
Small size, ample cable length, high quality components, excellent build quality, great voltage regulation and ripple control, silent operation.
