What RAM should I get for my motherboard

I currently have an Asrock 990FX Extreme4 Motherboard, and am looking at upgrading the memory, but don't what to get.

Many of the memory options listed on the Asrock site as being compatible with my motherboard are no longer available for sale, so perhaps someone knows of some memory that would be compatible with this motherboard.

I would either get 2x 8GB or another 2x 4GB that I could use alongside my existing 2x 4GB memory.

My processor is the FX-8320 (got it in 2013 if that matters) and my video card is an EVGA GTX 660 (Best Buy OC version).

Also, this is a gaming machine, so the memory needs to be enough, to handle the newer games.

Solution
With the prices today I'd go 2x8GB in 1866, maybe the Ripjaws X or Sniper lines from GSkill - they are the best I've found overall with AMD rigs

I understand that, I was just throwing it out as a possibility, if I got 2x 4GB sticks instead of 2x 8GB sticks.

I just need recommendations on what memory would be compatible with my Asrock 990FX Extreme4 Motherboard.

It supports DDR3 2100(OC)/1866/1600/1333/1066/800, but the list of compatible RAM in the manual is mostly stuff that is no longer available, hence my need for suggestions. The stuff listed in the manual is also mostly 2GB or smaller in size, when I want 4GB or 8GB sticks.

Any comments on Corsair memory? Or has Gskill surpassed them in quality?

It looks like I will likely be going for 2x 8GB sticks of 1866 memory, so I just need to decide on which brand. Gskill seems to be a little cheaper than Corsair, so that's definitely a good thing.

Micro Center doesn't seem to carry Gskill, so I would have to buy online if I went the Gskill route.

I wound up going with the 2x 8GB 1866 G.Skill Ripjaws X.

Newegg had it for $64.99 just now, so went ahead and got it. It was $79.99 this past weekend, so the $64.99 must be a Black Friday week special or something. Saved $15 (18.75%), so I am happy.
