I've been seeing a lot of people saying they need to flash their bios and update VGA support for ram.

I'm currently building my pc on a website and needed advice. Page 1-14 http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/Z170-A/E10611_Z170-A_UM_V2_WEB.pdf

It lists all of the compatable 2133 series of ram. However most of it is only allowing me a 4x8gb or 4x4gb setup.

However, people are saying that having all RAM slots filled causes an error where I'll need to flash my BIOS.

Please reply with a detailed response as I am only a few weeks old into building PC's

Thank you

On the Z170 you can go with 2x sets of DRAM, what's in their list is simply what they have tested with. 2x8GB can be better than a 4x4GB as it's less stress on the MC (memory controller)
