For many months now I have been using a wireless external USB adapter to connect to WiFi and the internet, and all of a sudden I can't access the internet, even though Windows says that I am connected to WiFi. When I troubleshoot the adapter I get this message:
802.11n USB Wireless LAN Card is an older USB device and might not work with USB 3.0
Plug the device into an available USB 2.0 port, then click Next. Otherwise, click Cancel.
This makes no sense because I am plugging the adapter into a USB 2.0 anyway, as my motherboard has 2 2.0s and 2 3.0s, and my case has 2 2.0s. I'm using Windows 10 by the way.
I have tried using a different adapter and the same thing persists.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
