Hi guys,

Im looking to upgrade my msi gs60 with an SSD but im rather confused with this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2ZicdFEn9o

The guy basically installed a m.2 card and replaced the stock harddrive with a solid state drive.

1. isit necessary to have the M2 card? ( im thinking that it is required to run the bigger SSD, im not sure)

2. Whats the difference and what is your recommendation? My budget is about the same as that guy's!

Thank you so much!!

Thanks for a reply!

So if i were to upgrade my harddisk, can i just upgrade the SSD drive or do I need to change both the SSD drive and add on the M.2 like in the video?

Thanks!!

they are separate drives so can upgrade one or the other you dont need both
as a word of warning you may want to grab any drivers and other important info of the old hard drives and put it on a flash drive
