ASUS R9 290x 4gb crashing issues!

Current system

windows 10 64bit
Intel i5 4670k overclocked to 4.2
16GB
R9 270x 2GB
FSP750-50ERN PSU
1TB Seagate HD

This system worked perfect, but I have changed the graphics card to a R9 290x 4GB and I keep getting random black screen crashes?? sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't! It also happens while not gaming. I have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled latest drivers but still get the same issue! The card is brand new, but I'm thinking faulty...please help!??

I was also having issues with my new 290 I bought, I bought a new psu together with it. Started having crashes few minutes in or even seconds. Could be my psu but I went back to my old gpu and hasn't crashed. The only thing I question here is you're psu since I don't really see anything about it, doesn't ring quality which is super important for these high end cards. Either try to have it tested with another psu or just return the card and have it exchanged it doesn't hurt. Once the new one comes in if it happens again you know it's not the card. I RMA'd mine through newegg and good thing i have my old gpu to use meanwhile i wait. Once I get the new card and i still have the same problem like you (I.e crashing, crashing even when not gaming) I'll let you know what it really was, if you beat me to it and find out let me know it might help me sooner :0

Same I returned mine and ordered a gigabyte 970, should be here monday. My RMA was accepted so the gpu must of been bad. Can't wait
