No it does not support DDR4 because DDR4 is 288 pin RAM chips and the Z87 is a 240 pin RAM chips. If you are asking because you want the 64gb of RAM the only manufacturer that I've found so far is Kingston (4x16gb). Found this out the hard way. My Patriot sh*t the bed on me about two yrs after my build, then again in about two yrs. I really not sure why it did but Patriot only has a 2 yrs warranty. Kingston on the other hand is a lifetime warranty. Anyhow I went to replace my (4x8gb) 32 gb patriot RAM. Only I figure I'm gonna up the ram because I rum 6 monitors through a mini dvi 600 Fire Pro workstation graphics card and figured that may be putting to much strain on the 32gb. So I went to newegg to get more RAM only I wanted to upgrade I saw the Rip Jaw gskill DDR4 64gb RAM and purchased it for my Z87 Asus. Well I was in the middle of moving and didn't unpack my PC for another 2 months because of a snafu with the rental manager loosing paperwork. Well when I did finally get around to unpacking and replacing the RAM it was about 1/4 too long. I was bummed because now I needed to send it back and rethink what I was to do. The problem I ran into is that newegg only has a 30 day return policy. The cost for the 288 pin 64gb Rip Jaw V series was $419 plus tax but the Kingston 240 pin RAM is $780. But I was past the 30 day return so that screwed me right there. So I now have 64gb of RAM I cannot use unless I change my water cooled mother board. Problem is I'm a disabled Veteran and live on a low fixed income and the money coming for the Rip Jaw was pure luck; which inevitably ended up screwing me. Now I have no PC just this tiny Samsung Tab A tablet. Talk about a down grade.
