When I get to work I have a closed off Operating System on all the pc's. I can't type in any custom url's and rebooting to go to BIOS is out of the question.
My workplace uses some weird OS that's probably custom. None the less irritating.

All I want to know is if it is possible to put a Linux distro on my usb, plug in my usb, then have linux pop up (autorun)

What scripting would I need?

I'm not using this maliciously. I just hate waiting to punch in with nothing to do.

Is this possible? Maybe.
Are you willing to risk your job over it?

Doubtless they would know of a different OS attempting to access the network. And easily track it down to your particular workstation.
In my office, this would be an immediate firing, escorted out the door.

True. Not tryna get * canned, but I wouldn't use this at my desk. I'd use it elsewhere, before I clock in. I'd also only use it very briefly.

Elsewhere?
If you are on their network, they will know.
If you are not on their network, use whatever you want.

And 'briefly' doesn't matter. Are you faster than 1 millisecond?
