I know I can run the radeon r9 390 with the duel fans but when I go and look at the radeon r9 390 with the triple fans it says on new egg 750watt minimal. Is this true? ALSO will it fit?

System Specs current:

AMD ATX Case W/ 650w psu (Mid tower case)

AMD Bulldozer hex core (6cpu's)

Nvidia GeForce 660 EVGA (This is what I want to switch out)

120Gb PNY SSD

250Gb Western Digital blue cavier Hdd

(I plan to add a 3TB-4TB hard drive here too)

8 gb DDR3 dual channel GIEL gaming ram 10666

Why wouldn't it be true? Newegg doesn't make their stuff up, they probably got the minimum power requirement from AMD itself. If you want to try it go ahead, it should at least work, but it will run hot and chances are, it eventually causes major issues. To be a little more helpful, i will give you the straightforward answer, that you should not attempt it, it's not worth the risk when you have expensive components at hand.. best of luck
