Hey all,
So randomly out of the blue my computer decided it wanted to start booting from my DVD/CD Drive instead of the usual SSD that has my OS on it. Now this makes turning on the computer an odd experience. When I power it on, everything turns on except the displays for a few seconds then a BIOS screen appears on one of my monitors meaning it didn't port right (I think).
Now I give it a few more seconds (after this BIOS screen disappears) and boom everything starts up fine.
To my understanding it went to the DVD/CD Drive as its first boot option then to my SSD as the second.
Now I went into my BIOS menu (I have a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3) and saw that the DVD/CD Drive became my first boot option...somehow. So I changed it back. However its still booting from the DVD Drive first no matter what.
My question is: Is this really detrimental to the computer at all? It still boots just fine but should I be concerned in any way that its doing this? Could I just unplug the DVD/CD Drive since I hardly use it? I appreciate the help.
