How do i know if a graphic card is compatible with my pc?

I have the following specs on my pc: i5 650 3.2 ghz, 3 gb ram, ati radeon hd 5450 1 gb. I am planning to buy the gt 730 or ati r7 250. How do I know if it is compatible or not. Also i have numeric digital 600 ex ups.please help

As long as your case has space and your motherboard has a PCIe x16 slot, then you should be fine.

If this is a prebuilt then the model number will get you info on everything. You already have a graphics card so you don't need to worry about the mobo. Actually that would also mean any of those low profile low end gpus will fit too.

model no. is lenovo h320. i also installed a software " cpu-z" to check info. and in the motherboard tab it says "PCI-Express" and link width= x16

Well you already have a graphics card that you are going to have to take out. Any pcie gpu will be compatible but the issue is your case and psu. I looked up the specs and that pc never came with that gpu so it was already upgraded. You just have to get a low profile card and one of similar power. A 730 will do. The 250 takes too much.

so except than case and psu everything meets the requirements? and is 730 gonna fit in the case?
Also i have win 10 32-bit but i recently realized that i can run a 64-bit version. how can i get a 64-bit version?its necessary because most of the games come with 64 bit as minimum requirement. please help

As long as it's a low profile single slot like this. There are different versions of the 730, make sure you get the one with 384 cuda cores. Gddr5 is preferable.

To get 64 bit, get the windows media creation tool and select “Create installation media for another PC.” This will allow you to choose to download the 64 bit version. This will require a clean install so will delete everything. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Now the thing is that I'm satisfied with 730 however its a low profile one. Can you please send me the link of the one that would fit for me and I'm satisfied with 1 gb gddr5. Also i live in India and i have a budget of around 6000. Please help me and send the link, i would appreciate it.

That is not low profile or single slot so won't fit your case. It also costs more but is less performance than the 730. Any pcie version is compatible with yours.

You have pcie 2.0, you can tell just by the chipset but if you wanted to see in software, check gpuz. Pcie is pci-express.

The power is so close to the 5450 already in it. If that works, the 730 will.

And yes i tried for 64 bit by media creation tool only. But when I downloaded 64 bit version of it and opened it , it said that it is not compatible with this pc. Do i need to download the 32 bit version only?and then?

You download the 32 bit version because your pc is 32 bit. After you open that select “Create installation media for another PC.” This will allow you to choose to download the 64 bit iso.

One more thing, is my directx version compatible? I have 11.2 but everywhere it says required is 12 API??
And yes i have created the media for 64 bit win 10 in usb flash drive. But will it be alright with all other updates and drivers of 32 bit?
Also what do i have to do next after downloading it?
