Hey guys,

I wanted some help picking out a graphics card for a store bought PC i got.

Here is the PC:
http://support.hp.com/lt-en/document/c04803066

HP Envy 750-116
Expansion Slots:
1 PCI Express x16 (Gen 3.0)
1 PCI Express x1 (Gen 2.0)

Power supply:
300 W uATX aPFC internal power supply

Since its got PCI express slots i am pretty sure i can fit a graphics card on there. But i want to make sure.

Also i am not familiar with APU's. Are they any good?
This one is supposed to have Radeon R7 graphics.
My budget for a new graphics card will be under a $100. For that price i will probably only get a 1 GB card. Is it worth it?
i did see Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti for $109 on New-egg.
I will be mostly using it for 3D cad, Computational Analysis using matlab, Game development using game engines. and some very light and occasional gaming( planet side 2 and Civ 5)

Thanx for help

The 300w power supply will likely fail with a 750ti, so get a cx430 or similar high quality power supply to prevent damaging your hardware. Whether or not the 750ti will fit in your case is another question; it probably will, but you're going to need to take measurements to be absolutely sure. Width wise a card will almost always fit, but length wise it may end up not fitting.

I have the same computer. I want to install an ASUS HD 6670 (1 gig ram, Radeon). That card is supposed to have low power consumption. Would it be ok?

If not, what size power supply should I get?

I plan to add 1 more HDD.
