Which of these graphics cards will work on my computer?

Your system should work fine with the GTX 750 Ti card.

Before you fit the card though you will have to enter the bios of the motherboard.
Do this and in the bios look for the section to do with graphics.
There will be an option of what the primary graphics card interface or mode is set to.

You may need to change the Default graphics card to initialize first setting it to Pci-e or Peg as the mode.
Save the new change in settings before you exit the bios.

Your next step is to check that the four or eight pin from the power supply unit of the system is connected to the motherboard of the four or eight pin block.

You will find it near or around the cpu socket, or near the rear I/O panel of the motherboard. or the 12v E-atx eight or four pin socket can be found nerar or around the top edge of the motherboard when looking at it inside the case of the computer.

You must make sure that this power point is connected from the PSU to the motherboard.
If it is.
Then simply slot the GTX 750 Ti card into the Pci-e graphics card slot of the motherboard.
Checking on the card it`s self that any extra power required direct to the 750 ti graphics card is also connected from the Psu of the computer.

Once checked simply plug the monitor cable to the back of the 750 Ti graphics card and your good to go ! ok.
But do please check that the two power points needed are connected it`s a must or you may not get a video output signal from the new 750 Ti card when installed ok.

I'm confused as to why he would need to do this check for a simple graphics card installation.

Because on some pre built systems such as a gateway.

Out of the eight pins of the 12v E-atx power block they only connect four.
Because four are used for extra power to the cpu.

And the other four are used to power up to 75w of power direct to the motherboard to feed power to the Pci-e card slot on the motherboard.

If the power, or the other four of the E-atx pins are not connected the Pci-e based card is not detected when placed in the card slot, or it fails to produce an output screen.

Or in some cases the system completely fails to post when the card is placed into the pci-e slot of the motherboard.

Due to on board video solution of the motherboard sometimes only four out of eight are connected.
Hence the warning to double check when fitting a Pci-e based card to the card slot of the motherboard Gopher.
