First build, pretty set on the configuration. Anything I should really change?

Hi everyone, I have recently been planning my first PC build. I'm dead set on the case and blu-ray drive, as I plan on using this both for modern games and for light media consumption (movies). I've gone around a few other sites online to optimize the steps. Anything else I can do to reduce price without hurting performance?

Solution
2x8 for the future or 2x4 for the dual channel boost now.
1x8 will be hard to upgrade as they are supposedly fickle about unmatched pieces.
Everything else is a fine balanced build.

A BD-R burner is a really unnecessary purchase in this day and age. I'd drop that and invest in getting the unlocked processor. You don't need a cooler for a locked processor. Also don't get 1 x 8GB - get at least a 2 x 4GB matched set. You don't want a single stick of RAM for a system like that.

This would be better IMO:

Slightly more expensive than the proposed rig but there's some much better components I feel.
