Laptop keeps forgetting wifi password then says it is wrong

I have a compaq CQ58 with Windows 10 and for the last few months when I'm online, the wifi will just randomly cut out on my laptop. When I try to log back in, it says the password is incorrect. This only happens on my laptop. My phone stays connected and everyone else in the house's (I live in a student house with 3 other people) gadgets stay connected. The first time it happened, I called a tech guy round and after trying things for nearly an hour, the only solution he found was to change the password (for £70 - expensive password change) and this is what I've had to do ever since. But it's getting frustrating and embarrassing now to have to tell everyone "we need to change the wifi password again" every other week. The wifi still connects via ethernet cable. Anyone know a solution?

Things I've tried:
Troubleshooting
The connect manually option
releasing and redeeming IP
flushing the DNS cache
Uninstalling wifi on device manager and rebooting it
Turning the wifi off and on at the plug and at flight mode on my laptop
Screaming at it
Threatening it.

Solution
The problem then lies with the type of encryption mode setup on the router or device you connect to.
To do with why the password fails even if it is correct.

The reason also why you get a disconnect from the network, the router.
Will be down to a few things.

First of all the speed of the wireless broadcast is running at from the router.
To enable your device not to be disconnected at random times lower the speed the router transmits the wi-fi signal at.

Disconnects if you get a good wi-fi signal strength from your router, is because the wi-fi adapter of your CQ58 laptop is not fully compatible, or can not run at the speed setup on the router broadcasting the network, internet connection.

Also if the router has a hardware...

Also if the router has a hardware firewall enabled, set it to a medium security setting.

Check any software firewall you have running on your laptop such as windows firewall, or windows security center.

Set the security strength on them to medium also, setting high can cause disconnection from a wireless network.

Do all of this and your problems should be resolved Brett.

PS: This is free ;-)
