I have a compaq CQ58 with Windows 10 and for the last few months when I'm online, the wifi will just randomly cut out on my laptop. When I try to log back in, it says the password is incorrect. This only happens on my laptop. My phone stays connected and everyone else in the house's (I live in a student house with 3 other people) gadgets stay connected. The first time it happened, I called a tech guy round and after trying things for nearly an hour, the only solution he found was to change the password (for £70 - expensive password change) and this is what I've had to do ever since. But it's getting frustrating and embarrassing now to have to tell everyone "we need to change the wifi password again" every other week. The wifi still connects via ethernet cable. Anyone know a solution?
Things I've tried:
Troubleshooting
The connect manually option
releasing and redeeming IP
flushing the DNS cache
Uninstalling wifi on device manager and rebooting it
Turning the wifi off and on at the plug and at flight mode on my laptop
Screaming at it
Threatening it.
