I've had a G41M-COMBO board (rev 2.0) for a while now and have recently upgraded from ancient 4gb ddr2 memory to 8gb ddr3 (http://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/ga-g41m-combo/CT4056994)

Having installed the new memory, according to windows, it is running at only 800mhz. I've tried playing with various bios settings including turbo and extreme settings but have not managed to get anything other than 800mhz.

I know that the board can support up to 1333mhz ram in overclocked mode but i'm not sure how to make it happen (I assumed this could be achieve by tweaking a setting?)

Having trawled various forums I don't seem to have found anyone who has encountered this specific issue, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Enable XMP in your bios settings, and you should be good. It's probably on auto right now.

Thanks, having looked at the bios there doesn't appear to be an XMP option, any other ideas?
