Hey Gamers,
Planning to upgrade my gaming PC to,

CPU: fx 8350
GPU: MSI r9 290x Lightning
PSU: Corsair 650W

Confused about the motherboards,

Is asus m5a97 r2.0 fine??? or asus m5a78l-m/usb3 will do?

Solution
To run a FX83xx, much less overclock it, requires a better motherboard than the /usb3. The power delivery on this motherboard is not up to providing full power to a FX 83xx. To remain 'competitive' in the future, you will need to overclock, so plan for that from the start.

The ASUS M5A97 R2.0 is an excellent motherboard for this purpose and will run your GPU as well.

You need a high-performance and more powerful PSU for that combination of parts. If you are budget limited, look at the FX 8320. The EVGA 110-B2-0750-VR is both very good and comparatively inexpensive in most markets.

Where are you?

Thanks man, was really helpful and almost gave me a clean solution, I'll stick to Asus m5a97 r2.0.
Won't corsair RMSeries rm650 help??? Few suggested me this.

Is the above CPU and GPU combination ok? Becoz in few forums I saw this combination causes freezes and frame drops..
Btw I'm in India..

That combination of CPU/GPU can cause problems in some games because of driver optimization problems. Read carefully and see if you do what they are doing.

That is a 125W CPU, more when overclocked, and a 300W GPU, more if you overclock that too. To keep your PSU happy an efficient I would not have it's normal maximum load much over 70% of capacity, so a 650W PSU is the absolute minimum.

This http://www.flipkart.com/seasonic-s12g-650-650-watts-psu/p/itmduu8wmcnzuskz?pid=PSUDUU8WCUTJU9HZ&ref=L%3A2999630742494791491&srno=p_3&query=computer+components&otracker=from-search is about the cheapest PSU I would use. The RM 650 is much lower performance than the Seasonic. (RMi is good though)
