Hello all. I want to buy 2 new ram sticks of 4GB each. My motherboard manual says that it supports 1333 MHz of speed and 1600 MHz of speed overclocked. I went into the BIOS to see how to overclock my mobo once I get the new sticks, since they are at 1600 MHz, but I didn't only see 1333MHz and 1600MHz as options. I also saw 1866 and more. So, can I buy 2 sticks of 8GB and with 1866 MHz of speed instead of 1600 and overclock my mobo so it can support that speed or will it be hurtful for the energy spending and health of my ram? Thanks in advance!

Your energy expenditure won't be that significant. As long as you're running them at 1866 it should be fine. Just make sure your CPU can handle it as well as your motherboard. What CPU and motherboard do you have?

Well, apparently my mobo (which is actually this one http://motherboard.hw-specs.com/Wibtek_H61-M_HDMI2/ but I guess it doesn't change anything) uses the BIOS of American Trends and I can't seem to find DRAM voltage anywhere.
