Hi guys,

I have a Asus p6t se motherboard ( https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P6T/ ) and i want to put a little bit more memory.
I currently have 6gb Triple channel memory ( GSkill PC10666 NQ Triple Channel 6Gb (3x2Gb) DDR3 ).

So what im wondering is... do i have to buy "triple channel" memory only? is it the only compatible? or i can buy a GSkill 16GB RipjawsX 2x 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz per example.

Thanks for the help and have a great day!:D

Solution
Generally the x58 mobos only take 4GB sticks, also will want older DRAM made with low density memory ICs, would look at something like the GSkill original Ripjaws or their NT line of value DRAM, the newer lines of DRAM today all use high density ICs, like the newer Ripjaws X and Z lines
