So I made 2 almost identical builds on pcpartpicker, one AMD and one Intel. They are both about the same price and I am wondering which one will perform better in games. I play mostly simulation games, like Euro truck, but may play other more resource intensive games if I do get one of these systems. Currently I play all of my games on an Intel Core i3 mobile CPU that's in my laptop (I have never owned a dedicated gaming desktop before). I use the integrated graphics and it doesn't perform well at all. It's time to enter into the desktop world.

The i5 is overall the better processor, but you might want to look into picking up the i5-6600k. And take a look at Tom's Hardware's review of the R9 380x Nitro, it's a bit more expensive at $200-230 but they're saying it's the best 1080p card on the market now.
