Problem
------------
I've been playing CS:GO for about a year now and a couple months ago my computer started crashing whenever I play CS:GO. Usually, the game freezes for a second, lines (sometimes horizontal sometimes vertical) appear and then I get a black screen with a sound loop and sometimes I can get into task manager (with ctrl + alt + delete) and end the not responding CS:GO and other times I get a blue screen and restart.

After Effect
-----------------
-Sometimes the blue screen gives the error "thread_stuck_in_device_driver" other times it says my computer ran into an error and needs to restart.

-After playing CS:GO and exiting my gpu driver will continue to crash and recover during average tasks (internet mostly) but if I have not played CS:GO yet my computer will run fine.

What I've tried
--------------------
-resetting my computer
-verifying game cache
-updatting amd drivers
-changing CS:GO res

Reward
-----------
-I am willing to give a skin worth ~$5 who provides the solution to this problem. (must work for at least a week just to be sure)
-In addition I will +rep for whatever you wish

What might have changed since all was working well?
Your symptoms are those of a failing graphics card.
Your card is quite old.
Try a different graphics card if you can to test out that possibility.

If the 6 pin power lead has come loose, or if the psu was failing you could get those symptoms too.

Have you overclocked the FX-6300? If so, back off the oc and see if it makes a difference.

Currently, I do not have another GPU to test out but once I can get my hands on one I will

I have not overclocked it at all...but in the BIOS settings there is an option to make start up faster...should I turn this off because in theory it seems like a minor oc? possibly?

I just opened up my box and it was not lose. I unplugged it and plugged it back in because tech support pro so I will see if that helped at all.

thank you for helping

Had same problem on a beast of a computer some 4-5 years back. CS GO kept crashing, god advised to update BIOS, everything was smooth after that.
