CPU: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 945 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz

Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. GA-MA790FXT-UD5P

Memory: (2x) G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL (CL 9-9-9-24)
(1) Mushkin enhanced Blackline 2GB (9-9-9-24)
(1) Kingston KTD-XPS730CS/4G

Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series

Case: Antec 900

Power Supply: Ultra 650W ATX Power Supply
PSU Model No: ULT-LSP650P

Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Monitor: HannSpree T280H

The monitor is a bit old, wondering if a replacement could have a high impact. Also, i have 2nd Mushkin enhanced Blackline 2GB, but decided to use the Kingston in the last slot for the 2GB extra, not sure if that memory is better though?

Id like to fit it out so i wont have to get anything for a while. Would like it to run everything maxed out currently and for future games.

wait till after the holidays in the first few months of 2016 there are newer gpu from nvidia and amd that are dropping. there going to be less wattage and faster then the older cards out now. also the newer skylake mb and cpu are going to be cheaper as stocking levels get better.

Not sure about AMD but Nvidia's Pascal cards are scheduled for Q2 2016, going from history my guess is they wont hit the shops till the end of Q2 or early Q3 as there is always a significant delay from release and shop availability. So minimum 6 months away but Id guess 7 or 8

I dont think i would really want to wait 7-8~ months. With that in mind, could i get away with just upgrading components other than the video card and bump my performance up for current gen games?
